James is a certified casting instructor by Fly Fishers International and life member of Trout Unlimited. A fisherman for most of his life, he bought his first fly rod while in college.

James is a single hand mentor for FFI and volunteers for Project Healing Waters, guiding vets.

Surface feeding trout are his favorite targets. However, any fish that pulls back is fair game!
